The Alnwick Garden in April 2009
The Alnwick Garden lies to the outskirts of Alnwick Town and adjoining Alnwick Castle. Created about 10 years ago the gardens are still in continual development and are open all year.
At the entrance is the Tree House (a restaurant).

I do like Alnwick Gardens. The black and white photos are very effective.
ReplyDeleteimpressive site! lovely photos. the black & white photos highlight the architectural aspects nicely. how do the gardeners trim up the tops without crushing the ground level plantings in the 13th photo? the veranda space looks so airy & light compared to the front of the tree-house! what a contrast.
ReplyDeleteI like very much the design of your new blog, Helen, the photos are stunning too!! I like the rusty colours!
ReplyDeleteThat tree house is such a waste where it is. It would be much better at the bottom of my garden!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice photos Helen.
